New from Innerstellar

New from Innerstellar

Out now: Innerstellar’s new work “Who’s to Say This Will Make More Sense the Next Time Through”. It’s my collaboration with poet Audra Almond-Harvey in support of Nashville’s dance ensemble FALL (falldance.org).

In June 2022, FALL presented A Bending of its Own Kind 2.0, a contemporary and aerial dance performance inspired by founder Rebekah Hampton Barger’s experience with chronic pain. “Who’s to Say This Will Make More Sense the Next Time Through” was commissioned for the event, and now it is available for all to hear.

Innerstellar’s music creates a complementary sonic space for powerful poetry written and recited by Audra Almond-Harvey, her poignant words expressing the collected experiences of those living with chronic pain. It’s a profound depiction of the journey through fear and uncertainty to hope and self-kindness.

Paired with it is the instrumental version, titled “What Stars We Can See”.

And Now for Something Completely Different…

And Now for Something Completely Different…

After three albums of relaxing instrumentals, my first pop/alternative/whatever song is out now: “You Can Take Me Anywhere (That I Want to Go)” by Score One for the Underdogs.

It’s a great summer groove that falls somewhere in the territory of Glass Animals, Future Islands, and Gorillaz. There will be a video coming soon.

Written, performed, and produced by me (Dan Wright), except Andrew Collins played the sexy guitar solo and David Lim mixed and mastered the audio.

New Ambient Instrumental Release: Innerstellar – Veil

New Ambient Instrumental Release: Innerstellar – Veil

On February 11, 2022, istillhave.life will be releasing its first title, Innerstellar’s Veil, to streaming services everywhere. It will also be available to purchase on iTunes for $5.99 or to license for film, sampling, or advertising.

Innerstellar is the sound of stars and heavens. It is a blend of minimalism, post-classical, and ambient chill creating a dream galaxy the latest headlines can’t reach. It is a place to rest, to recharge, to commune with the divine and the eternal.

Veil follows the progression from the end of life to the beginning of eternity, from the known to the unknown. It is an account of farewells on this side of the veil and reunions in the beyond.

The first two singles, “Made It Home” and “Hold My Hand, Love, One Last Time”, are out now. If you like them, please add them to your own relaxation or meditation playlists.
